It is recommened to visit the Bieszczady mountains during summer and autumn where you'll be able to see more of the wildlife. However if you do prefer skiing, coming in winter may be the better choice.

bazylek100 In every Poland trip, there needs to be a place where you can get a one of a kind experience. Krakow (Cracow) is a place that showcases some of the most beautiful architecture and traditional designs in Europe. It was formerly the country's capital but is still one of the top tourist attractions found in Europe.
You'll get a rare opportunity to see medieval cathedrals, the renaissance castle and the Art Noueau Theatre. The monuments in Krakow create a unique atmosphere, transforming you into one of the countless medieval movies such as Robin Hood.
There is however, a modern side to Krakow. There are a number of bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants to suit everyone, where you can enjoy the best meals and mingle with locals in a friendly environment.

Michal Osmenda When you think of Poland, many of us think of Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Although it was torn down during the World War II and rebuilt from scratch, Warsaw is one of the fastest growing and vibrant places in Poland to visit.
With a population of over 1.75 million people, the capital has been recovering from the war with the best tourist attractions. You can visit and explore the beautiful Old Town, the Chopin museum, the former Jewish ghetto and many palaces. Of course there will be many Poland tours and museums to learn more about the 40 years of war that existed in the capital.
It will always remain part of human history where many awful incidences occurred. However, it does bring a unique east European flavour to the mix and range of attractions found in Poland.

.the.dude. Duchess Libussa founded Prague in 722 BC according to a popular tradition, but it really grew out of settlements forming around two castles of Hradschin and Wysechand to which a German settlement was added in the 12th century. Until the downfall of Napoleon, the city continued to suffer more or less directly from the troubles in which house of Austria was involved.
Since then, however, it has made rapid strides. Prague's sightseeing travel is popular as it offers a highly picturesque appearance from the beauty of its site, and the numerous lofty towers which rise above many noble palaces, public buildings and bridges of the city and rightly vindicates the fact that an Eastern Europe Tour will remain incomplete without a visit to Prague.
Dark and haunted by a gory past the city can transform you. Visit the grave of Tycho Brahi at the old Hussite church, the Tyne Church, St. Vitus Cathedral at the Prague castle and on the hour go to the Astronomical Clock where at every hour a bell tolls and mechanical figures dance out.
Finally do not forget to be at Kafka memorial near the Old-New Synagogue, the Café Slavia where Kafka wrote in his nightmarish style.

law_keven Have you ever had fleas?
Fleas are nasty things. You can try and dress it up a little if you like and make the sound scientific (Ctenocephalides canis). But at the end of the day they're just a bug - and a pretty annoying one, at that.
I watched a dog once in Krakow (wonderful city in Poland) that I knew had fleas. It's biggest problem in life was simple sleep deprivation. It woudl sleep for a few moments, just up and scratch and chew itself for a minute or two, spend a couple of moments trying to find a comfortable position again, and then start the cycle all over.
They tell me that when people get fleas the experience is just as insufferable. I've never had fleas myself. But I spent some time with a volunteer service organization in a couple of Third Countries. Countries with bugs...
Fortunately for my pet, I love my dog enough to use a service like Pet Meds to be sure fleas don't hang around us very long. And so we can travel to developing countries, Eastern Europe, or anyway in the world without beeing afraid fleas or other blood-sucking insects could annoy us.
